The Tasadi platform announced a 38% increase in the number of cyber-extortion reports during the last quarter of the year, compared to the same period last year.

The platform explained that most of the reports revolved around threats to publish photos or personal information in exchange for money, and that the most targeted groups were teenagers and young adults.

Tasadi confirmed that the specialized team is working to analyze these reports and handle them with complete confidentiality, noting that most cases were contained without legal escalation thanks to early intervention.

The platform called on all members of society not to respond to any digital threat and to report immediately through available official channels.

It also emphasized the importance of promoting digital awareness and monitoring children and teenagers while using the internet.
